We are a Community Jazz Big Band Performing in the Raleigh, North Carolina Area!

Comprised of many talented and accomplished adult musicians from the Triangle Area, the
Neuse River Big Band was established in 2019, and is dedicated to preserving the sounds and styles of the Big Band Era.

We perform hits of the Count Basie Orchestra, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Elgart Brothers,
Duke Ellington and more. We also play contemporary jazz and pop arrangements, so we appeal to multiple generations of live music enthusiasts. We’re all about carrying on the Big Band Tradition while making it a fun experience for the band AND the audience!

Big Band Bash in the Park!

The Garner Optimist Club is hosting a free night for the public to enjoy the lively sound of big band music!

Come, bring a blanket and get ready to enjoy an early evening of live big band music by the Neuse River Big Band! There will also be food trucks to create fresh and delicious meals, drinks and desserts!

Concert is from 5pm -7pm at Shelter 1 at Lake Benson Park (921 Buffalo Road)!

The Neuse River Big Band will be back at the Fuquay Varina Arts Center this summer on Thursday, August 22nd!

Picture the vibrant streets of New York with "New York, New York", or feel the romantic allure of Paris as "April in Paris" sweeps you off your feet.

Each piece is a passport to a new locale, and our talented vocalists Jim, Meredith and Karen will escort you on a global tour that will light up your imagination with songs made famous by Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and more. The night promises to be an unforgettable experience, where the golden age of jazz meets the wonders of the world.
