We are a Jazz Big Band Performing in the Raleigh, North Carolina Area!
Comprised of many talented and accomplished volunteer musicians from the Triangle Area, the
Neuse River Big Band was established in 2019, and is dedicated to preserving the sounds and styles of the Big Band Era.
We perform hits of the Count Basie Orchestra, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Elgart Brothers,
Duke Ellington and more. We also play contemporary jazz, rock, movie soundtrack and pop arrangements, so we appeal to multiple generations of live music enthusiasts. We’re all about carrying on the Big Band Tradition while making it a fun experience for the band AND the audience!

Big Band Bash in the Park! The Optimist Club of Garner and Neuse River Big Band are joining together to perform a FREE public concert for the community! Live music and tasty food at Lake Benson Park - Shelter 1.
This is a family and kid-friendly, FREE event for our community. A large playground is available for kids to play. There will also be food trucks available (food/drink for purchase). Holy Fries will be serving up the main courses and Quench 305 will serving coffee, smoothies ice cream and desserts.
Live at Lake Benson Park Shelter #1 @ 5:30pm to 7:30pm! Bring your blanket and chairs to set up on the lawn and enjoy the show!

Neuse River Big Band's Swinging Holiday once again! We'll be back at the Garner Performing Arts Center on December 11th to bring you a big dose of holiday cheer. Tickets are now available!
Live at Garner Performing Arts Center @ 7:30pm to 9:30pm! Tickets are $15 (plus fees) general admission.

Our last show was Thursday, May 1st 2025 @ 7:30pm at the Garner Performing Arts Center!
The band invited attendees to step back in time through the 1950s, 60s, and 70s and feel the nostalgia as the live band recreates iconic hits with a twist—the show was set as a vibrant radio broadcast! The WNRBB “Live” Radio Show!

This show was a fully-themed show with costumes and script and a program packed with songs about travel, destinations and adventure! Audience members were encouraged to dress up for travel - and several did! It was a fun night for everyone in Fuquay Varina that night! To see more about this incredible show go here.
